Classic Cars, Summer, Tacos, and a Good Cause
I used to own a baby blue 1965 Ford Galaxie. I bought it a few years after a good friend of mine got his 1966 Chevy Impala. I like old cars. There’s a beauty and simplicity to them that modern cars simply can’t match.
And with the weather slowly transitioning to summer, people are taking their classic cars out of garages and showing them off. It’s one of my favorite things about living in the Pacific Northwest. You’ll catch three or four any given sunny weekend on Tacoma’s waterfront.
But this Sunday, June 15th, you’ll have a chance to see all sorts of sweet rides, eat some great food, good music, and help local victims of violent crime.
The car show begins at noon at the end of point Ruston at 5101 Yacht Club Rd and it’s being put on by Unidus Porvida Car Club and Taco Street. Proceeds and donations will support and help victims of violence.
Unidus Porvida Car Club is an all-women classic car club who raise money for victimsof criminal violence.
