Wayback Wednesday #3: Big Trees
Stories from yesteryear.
I don’t remember where we were going, but my father and I were on the freeway and he saw a logging truck. And he said, “Y’know when I was a child, there’d be logging trucks with one log on them. Maybe sometimes as many as three, but that’s all that could fit back then.”
The logging truck in the photo above is what logging trucks have looked like most of my life. So I wasn’t sure if my dad was exaggerating or not. Turns out he wasn’t. Here’s a photo from the year he was born. (1950) Logs from THREE trees fit on THIRTEEN logging trucks.
Horoscopes from 1950 were codes.
That’s it for Wayback Wednesday this week.
