We'll Be Back in 2025
Hello, everyone. You may have noticed there was no homicide article this past Monday. Apologies for not writing sooner. I was out of town.
It’s December, a month full of holidays and birthdays for my family. To avoid writing about homicides on those days, Tacoma Stories is taking a break.
Before I go, I want to mention how much I appreciate each and every subscriber I have and especially want to thank those of you who’ve chosen to support Tacoma Stories with a paid subscription. Your subscriptions just paid for another year of the TacomaStories.com domain. (I owe you guys some trinkets of questionable value).
If you’re looking for something new to support in the new year, consider becoming a paid subscriber.
We’ll be back in 2025 on Monday, January 6th and each Monday after that with another month-long break in July. This sort of schedule allows me to write about roughly 42 homicides a year.
With one month left in 2024 Tacoma has endured between 25-29 homicides this year. (The Medical Examiner has not determined cause of death in four Tacoma deaths this year.) This means that even if we have a very non-violent 2025, I’m not likely to catch up next year either.
Here’s hoping for a record low homicide rate in 2025 and best wishes for you and your families.
